![]() ![]() Without reading a college textbook on the subject I'm trying to figure out how to tell what scale I'm dealing with. Most of these maps on the web are described in terms of longitude and latitude, radians or degrees/hours/minutes/seconds. ![]() But trying to do other areas in the world like Europe etc is a bit more difficult. It's easy to get grayscale maps for the United States ( from here), and I've made a Burbank region (it's pretty damn small - View image here: - ) and a Los Angeles region. Check out this or that or my favorite for info on doing it. So Simcity 4 lets you create a brand new region (group of related cities) out of most any grayscale image. ![]()
